Enabling Sleep on Dell Inspiron 1545
23 marzo 2010
It’s 2.30 am, and I cannot go to sleep.
..the final step to get an (almost) perfect hackintosh
I’ve patched the dsdt following this great guide, and finally got sleep working! The only thing left is the LCD not switched off, but.. you can always close the lid!
This is the compiled dsdt.aml to put in your system root. Warning: use this only in conjunction with my AppleHDA kext, if you use VoodooHDA for audio, you will lose sound:
Man. You are awesome! If this is true (i will test it tomorrow) then there’s only one thing left to do to get a perfect hackintosh: Quartz Extreme, though I think that’s a very hard thing to do… You seem to possess great knowledge in this things, would you be able to “fix” that issue???
Sorry, I don’t.. the problem is the lack of an apple driver for a card similar to GMA4500. The only one developed is for the X3100, too different from this card..
Thanks anyway man. Too bad we have that card… I really wanted to get Final Cut Express to edit videos…
hi,
which tags you modified in DSDT?
Dude, can you reply here your pmset information? (sudo pmset -g) I guess I changed something and maybe my sleep is somehow wrong.
Anyway, do you get a really sleep mode? For example, the power led is “breathing” or it’s “on”?
Thanks for the great work!
Reup please
Deviato, can you upload this again?
Also, is this compatible with 10.5.7? I have not upgraded from this version as of yet, and want to stay with what I’ve got so far.
Thanks,
Jon
Sweet – it would be great if you could upload this again. Thanks for your hard work!
